About Industropolis Batang

Industropolis Batang is a 4,300-hectare integrated industrial city developed and managed by PT Kawasan Industri Terpadu Batang (PT KITB). It is part of Indonesia’s National Strategic Projects (PSN) and is officially designated as a Special Economic Zone (SEZ), offering investors fiscal incentives, streamlined regulations, and a business-friendly environment.

Developed under a unified masterplan, Industropolis Batang integrates industrial, logistics, commercial, residential, and urban functions into one connected ecosystem, supported by modern infrastructure and long-term planning.

The project is backed by Danareksa, Indonesia’s state-owned holding company for industrial estates, and Danantara, the government’s strategic investment platform focused on optimizing national assets and accelerating economic transformation. This strong institutional support ensures sound governance, policy alignment, and sustainable development.

As the development continues to expand, Industropolis Batang is positioned to attract global manufacturers, strengthen supply chains, and drive Indonesia’s industrial competitiveness—shaping a smart, resilient, and sustainable industrial city for the future.

2020

Project Kickoff

Land acquisition and basic infrastructure development began, followed by a presidential visit and designation as a National Strategic Project. (Presidential Decree No. 109/2020).

Industropolis Batang - Physical Aspect - Sustainable Transportation Network

2021

Zone 1 Development

Infrastructure and Zone 1 were developed, and tenant construction started.

2022

Strategic Acceleration

The government issued Presidential Regulation No. 106 of 2022 regarding the Acceleration of Development of the Batang Integrated Industrial Estate.

2023

Land Absorption & Phase 2

Industrial land absorption in KITB has exceeded 100 hectares per year.
All basic infrastructure and utilities in the area have been fully completed.

2024

Operational Milestone

On July 25, 2024, the operational launch of KITB was inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia.
7 out of 28 tenants have commenced operations.

SEZ & Port Inauguration

On March 20, 2025, the Industropolis Batang SEZ was officially inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia.
The Multi-Purpose Terminal (port) has commenced operations.
